President Rodrigo Duterte has slammed leftist groups for demanding better services from the government after mocking his appearance through effigies.

In a speech before newly elected barangay chiefs of CALABARZON Thursday (June 14), Duterte said the Left should not ask him for help for anything.

“Kayong mga Left. Sinusunog ninyo ‘yung… Ito, may SONA. O, p***** i** ninyo, gawain ninyo ‘yan pero huwag kayong maghingi ng tulong sa akin kasi may pulis ako, may militar ako,” he said.

Duterte said it will be the rallyists’ fault if they get hurt when they protest during his upcoming State of the Nation Address.

“Ngayon, maghingi kayo ng tulong? T*** i** ninyo problema ninyo ‘yan,” he said.

Effigies of Duterte are a staple in rallies held by militant groups during holidays such as Labor Day and Bonifacio Day.

The President said he is unfazed by criticism from the Left since he has no plans of running for another elective office after his term ends.

Duterte also said he knows the militant groups’ style because he used to be affiliated with them.

“Ang Left, galing ako diyan, adre. Galing ako diyan. Tanungin ninyo ‘yung matatandang mga komunista. So do not f*** it with me because I was once also like you. Mabuti ‘yang magklaro-klaro,” he said.
