A copyright video of Bitag Official is said acquired and stolen by GMA’s 6 o’clock news, 24 Oras. In the Kilos Pronto segment of Ben Tulfo, he reiterate the evidences of how the said network stole Bitag’s exclusive video. Ben opened up the issue about telling the truth and lying and how such turn into stealing and fraud.

Stolen Video

The video shows that it was a courtesy from PNP-NCRPO-RSOU and does not include Bitag Official. According to Tulfo, it is a video shared to the media for use however GMA failed to deliver that the original source of the video is from BITAG. The woman wearing a jacket with BITAG print at the back is also blurred when the news aired in 24 Oras.

Personal Attack on Tulfos

Moreover, Ben Tulfo aired his sentiment on how the media network accused of stealing is attacking his show, specifically in its morning show where anchors are described them as ugly.

Netizen’s Mixed Reactions

Netizens are half-hearted on how the Bitag took the course of action. Some claims that GMA is right in the beginning for blurring some parts of the video as it does not promote the Bitag show.

It went shady as well when Ben Tulfo states that the video is shared with other media thus a right to use the video publicly.

One netizen comments that he got curious as to why GMA put the name of PNP instead of Bitag to its courtesy note. It is said that it is probably acquired from PNP which Ben stated that it is shared with the National Police as well hence the credit to PNP.

Furthermore, some suggest that still, GMA has to give credit to Bitag.

Some grudgingly comment by calling out the Tulfo brothers to return the 60 million worth of advertisement from the government’s pocket, changing the course of issues blatantly thrown to the Tulfo brothers.

Fair Use of Copyright Videos

However, it has been a public debate if Bitag is right to accuse GMA of stealing the video or if it is a call for the latter to sue Tulfo by making false accusations. Fair use of video especially from media is protected by copyright laws.
