Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines, has always been blessed with a cool temperature because it is located in the mountains of Benguet.


Unfortunately, Typhoon "Ompong" has just hit the country and took a landfall in Luzon, affecting a huge part of Benguet.

Baguio is under Signal No. 3


Baguio City is currently under Signal No. 3 as the typhoon continues to intensify; bringing high floods in the province.

A citizen of Baguio has uploaded a video of what the beautiful city looks like now; and it is not looking pretty.



The uploader, Jordan Rae Salinas, claims that the place in the video is in Camp 6, Kennon Road Tuba, Benguet.

Strong currents and high floods


The video shows intense rains pouring in the city, bringing in strong currents of flood water that is very high. The strong current seems like it can easily slay an entire house just by looking at the video.

"Ompong" worries Filipinos


The strong typhoon reminds every Filipino of the previous typhoons that shook the nation, killing hundreds of thousands of individuals in their own land.

Family members and other social media users can"t keep their worries to themselves as they send in prayers and reminders to the people in the most affected areas.



Typhoon Update


Other provinces that are under Signal No. 3 are Ilocos Sur, Ifugao, and Northern Aurora, among others. Typhoon Ompong is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this Saturday night, September 15, 2018.

As of writing, there are no news of injured individuals in Baguio City due to the typhoon.
