We can clearly see the efforts of our President in managing the onslaught brought about by Typhoon Ompong, in fact, he was so busy monitoring the typhoon that he forgot to eat, which was the reason why he asked for food during a meeting with officials in Tuguegarao.

Hands-On President

When the typhoon Ompong weakened Sunday morning, President Rodrigo Duterte wasted no time and quickly flew to the Cagayan Provincial Capitol located in Tuguegarao. He made an aerial inspection of the whole province aboard the presidential chopper together with SAP Bong Go.

After the inspection, he immediately went to the capitol to meet with the local officials to discuss the operations needed for the relief efforts for the province.

Hungry And Sleepless

During the meeting, it can be clearly seen that the president seemed to be tired and lacking in sleep. He couldn’t resist his hunger that is why he asked for coffee and bread in the middle of the meeting. It just goes to show the dedication of our chief executive for the welfare of his fellowmen.

He usually goes home to Davao City during the weekends, but he decided to stay in Luzon to monitor the situation so that he can easily travel to the affected areas.

Other Affected Areas Next

After the meeting in Tuguegarao, the tireless president directly went to Laoag City in Ilocos Norte to monitor the province and meet with the officials there.
